Hotel SANTAKOS was the first hotel in Lithuania to become a member of BEST WESTERN INTERNATIONAL Hotel chain. It is located at the merging point of Old Town and the City Center of Kaunas, in the quiet J.Gruodzio street. Built in 1895 as a wine cellar with ascetic exterior, 100 years later, in 1995, the building was transformed into a cozy hotel with elegant exterior; later it was one of the first to become a prestigious "visiting card" of the city. In 1999, the hotel was the first to be awarded the four-star rating.
