A
new, business class four star hotel DAUGIRDAS
established in the very heart of Kaunas old town, on the corner land plot
of Daugirdo St. and Jëzuitø
Alley, in a restored 16-19 c. building on the confluence of the biggest
Lithuanian rivers, 50 m from the Town Hall. Most of visitable places and
famous historical monuments of Kaunas can be reached on foot. These
include the symbol of the town- the Town Hall Square, the gothic monument-
the Thunder House, Vytautas Magnus Church, Kaunas Castle, museums, and the
centre of the town with the famous Freedom Avenue.
Hotel
DAUGIRDAS is the second hotel of
JSC PERKÛNO NAMAI,
a company with 12 years’ experience in the accommodation and restaurant
business. The complex is designed of two glass-roof linked buildings- an
authentic 16-19c. building and a newly built architecturally matched
construction. A 170 m2 lounge on the first floor next to the
reception imitates a town street with street torches and an outside café
with 16 sitting places.
There are 48 rooms in the hotel, 25 of which are in the restored part of
the building. Here you will also find an impressive Gothic Suite with
painted frescos, sauna and Jacuzzi. The new part of the hotel consists of
23 rooms.
All
rooms are air-conditioned, include mini bars, satellite TV, free external
and wireless internet connection, two telephones (in the room and in the
bathroom). There are rooms for non-smokers and disabled people in the
hotel. Bathrooms are equipped with nonslip floor, business class rooms
have both, a bath and a shower. The bathroom floor is heated, hairdryer
can be used in the bathroom and in the room.
Three
restaurant halls have been designed in the gothic vaults of the 16 c.- Baltoji
(“The White”) with an antique fireplace where 48 guests at the same
time can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. For a banquet we can prepare 72
places. In the Flambe hall dishes, in the presence of the guests,
will be prepared on the open fire. The hall accommodates 18 people or up
to 22 guests during a banquet. It is a wonderful place for business
dinners or closed evenings with friends. It can be easily converted into a
meeting hall. Hotel’s Wine Cellar offers to the guests an
extensive collection of specific wines (over 2000 bottles) stored in
special wine cupboards with temperature correction for red and white wines
separately. Wine sold in glasses is poured with a special device which
inhibits oxidation processes. Wine tasting and training cessions will be
organized for those interested in wines. This cellar accommodates 18
sitting places.
The
conference hall can be used as a ballroom with 8 round tables for ten
people or up to 90 people by integrated tables.
 There
are 3 bars in the hotel- Miesto baras (“The Town Bar”) is a
perfect place for a conversation accompanied by an easy snack on the first
floor next to the reception (32 sitting places), the bar in the basement
is designed to service participants of seminars and conferences, and Sky
bar” is a 16 sitting places cocktail bar in the balcony on the
fourth floor with a view to old-town roofs and a huge 195 m2
outdoor terrace which is a perfect place for cocktail evenings during
summer.
The hotel also offers a modern conference hall accommodating up to 120
people and a little gothic one for up to 30 people.
